8 day itinerary
Day 1
Touch down in Tunis, where you'll kick off your adventure with a cozy hotel stay and a night full of anticipation for the days ahead.
Day 2
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a visit to the medina of Tunis, the largest in the country and a UNESCO World Heritage site, where you'll have free time to explore and shop. Next, visit the ancient city of Carthage, once the capital of North Africa and the Mediterranean. After lunch, we’ll stop at the picturesque village of Sidi Bou Said, known for its charming white-and-blue houses and breathtaking views of the sea. Return to the hotel for an evening at your leisure.
Day 3
After breakfast, we will depart for Testour, a village west of the capital known for its Andalusian heritage and unique minaret clock. We will then continue to Dougga, one of Tunisia's most impressive and well-preserved Roman archaeological sites. After lunch, we will proceed to Sousse, where you'll check into your hotel and explore the local area at your own leisure. To end the day you will enjoy an evening dinner.
Day 4
Following breakfast, we will head to El Djem to visit the world’s third-largest and best-preserved Roman amphitheater. After lunch, travel to the Amazigh village of Matmata, famous for its underground troglodyte houses. Here, you'll be welcomed by a Berber family who will show you their home. Continue on to Douz, where you'll have a once in a lifetime glamping experience in the Sahara Desert. You can also upgrade your stay with a camel ride or quad biking ride through the sand dunes.
Day 5
After an authentic breakfast in the desert, we will set off for Chott El Djerid, Tunisia’s largest salt lake, where you can witness the remarkable natural phenomena. After lunch, we will arrive in Tozeur and visit the Dar Chraiet Museum, which showcases valuable antiques in a beautifully restored traditional house. In the evening we will check into your hotel and enjoy dinner with your party.
Day 6
We will begin the day with breakfast, followed by a 4x4 excursion to the breathtaking mountain oases of Chebika and Tamerza. We will then travel to Ong Jemal, where you can explore the well-preserved Mos Espa set from the famous Star Wars. Return to your hotel for lunch, and in the afternoon, we will take a stroll through Tozeur’s old town, Ouled el Hadef, known for its traditional brickwork, and visit the local souk. Spend the evening at your leisure.
Day 7
After a lovely breakfast, depart for Kairouan, Tunisia’s holy city and the fourth most important in the Islamic world. Visit the Great Mosque, the Mausoleum of Sidi Saheb, and the ancient Aghlabid water cisterns. Then, tour a local carpet cooperative, where you can see the city’s famous Kairouan carpets. After lunch, we will continue to Hammamet for a relaxing afternoon. Check into your hotel, and enjoy dinner at your own pace.
Day 8
Enjoy breakfast and a free day in Hammamet, where you can explore the medina and stroll along the seafront promenade. Check out of your hotel by noon, with the option to store your luggage until you need to leave for your flight. After lunch, you'll be transferred to the airport at the designated time for your departure.
